That salvation is by the grace of God alone, on the basis of the
atoning sacrifice of Christ, and wholly apart from human merit.
1. ADMIT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER.
Adam, in the Garden of Eden, had an intimate and personal relationship with God. Adam, as a representative for all mankind, sinned and broke
his and our relationship to God. We ALL became SINNERS deserving eternal DEATH!
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (Romans 5:12)
But your iniquities (sins) have separated between you and your God." (Isaiah 59:2)
GOD LOVES YOU! God loves all men, women, and children and desires to have a restored daily and personal relationship with them. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
2. ACCEPT THE PENALTY FOR YOUR SINS.
We were ALL MADE SINNERS because of Adam's disobedience. “For the wages of sin is DEATH; but the GIFT of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) Death is the penalty for our sin which is suffering in Hell forever being separated from God for all eternity. EACH and EVERYONE of us needed someone to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus did that for YOU, personally, on the cross.
“Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the
world.” (John 1:29)
3. ACCEPT GOD'S PARDON.
Since man and his relationship was now broken, God needed someone who was WITHOUT SIN and willing to intervene for man to restore the relationship by PAYING for the PENALTY of his sins. There was only one choice...His Son, Jesus Christ! NO ONE was or is able to pay for any PART OF THEIR SINS
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."(I Timothy 2:5)
God was satisfied with the sacrifice of Jesus for YOUR sins. The opportunity for you to have your relationship to God restored is available NOW.
"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses (sins) unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."
(II Corinthians 5:19)
4. ACCEPT GOD'S PERSONAL INVITATION AND ASK HIM TO BE
YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR.
God has restored the way back to Him. All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you, and BY FAITH accept His payment for your sin. Will you do that today?
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
(Romans 10:13)
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
(Romans 10:9-10)
